Halloween | Horror | 1978 | John Carpenter
Halloween III: Season of the Witch | Horror, science fiction | 1982 | Tommy Lee Wallace | Hot take, I love this movie. I like it more than the first Halloween. It's more interesting and more creative than hiding from Michael Myers, I love the Silver Shamrock song, I love the masks, I love the wacko Stonehenge shit. Great movie, severely underrated. |
The Happening | Science fiction, horror | 2008 | M. Night Shyamalan

Harvey | Comedy | 1950 | Henry Koster
The Haunted Mansion | Horror, comedy, family | 2003 | Rob Minkoff | Underrated!! Incredible set design, a simple, straightforward plot, good directing, super spooky atmosphere. This movie fully captures the tone and the feeling of the ride and it needs more love; this is a perfect Halloween movie. |
Haunted Mansion | Horror, comedy, family | 2023 | Justin Simien | Man, this is a seriously uncreative, anti-funny, boring, soulless nothing of a movie. For real, do not bother. Watch the Eddie Murphy one instead, that movie has so much atmosphere and amazing sets and a coherent plot that makes sense and doesn't meander all over the fucking place. |
Heathers | Dark comedy | 1989 | Michael Lehmann
Heavy Metal | Animation, science fiction | 1981 | Gerald Potterton
Hellboy | Action, fantasy | 2004 | Guillermo del Toro | The fucking G.O.A.T., Hellboy rules and this movie rules. Guillermo at the top of his game, the actors are all killing it, spectacular effects work and puppeteering and costuming -- it's kind of a perfect movie. |
Hellboy 2: The Golden Army | Action, fantasy | 2008 | Guillermo del Toro
Hellboy | Action, horror | 2019 | Neil Marshall | This movie is a fucking chore to watch. It's so mean-spirited and miserable; everybody in this movie hates each other, the plot is terrible, death and gore are treated with as much reverence as on Rick and Morty, which in particular made me feel genuinely depressed and disturbed by the giant demons (which do have admittedly amazing designs) just slaughtering innocent people like bugs. It's kind of a feat of unenjoyable filmmaking. |
Hellboy: Blood and Iron | Action, fantasy, animation | 2007 | Victor Cook, Tad Stones

Hell House, LLC III: Lake of Fire | Found footage horror | 2019 | Stephen Cognetti
Hellraiser | Horror | 1987 | Clive Barker
Hellraiser | Horror | 2022 | David Bruckner | This movie is kind of just pointless. It's not scary in any way, it doesn't further the mythology of Hellraiser at all, and seriously gives me no interest for a potential sequel. There's like a hundred Hellraiser movies, go watch one of those instead. |
Henry V | Drama | 1989 | Kenneth Branagh
Hercules | Fantasy, adventure, musical, family, animation | 1997 | John Musker, Ron Clements
Hercules in New York | Comedy | 1970 | Arthur Allen Seidelman | Masterpiece. 10 outta 10, perfect. Absolute kino shit. You've got Arnold Schwarzenegger in his first movie role ever, playing Hercules banished to wander filthy 1970 New York City with a little old Jewish pretzel seller named Pretzie, who convinces him to get into wrestling for money. I love this fucking movie, he wrestles a guy in a bear suit in Central Park and there's an effete gay Hades and in the scenes on Mount Olympus YOU CAN HEAR CARS DRIVING BY THE SET. Give it all the Oscars forever, past and present. |

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire | Action, adventure | 2013 | Francis Lawrence
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, part 1 | Action, adventure | 2014 | Francis Lawrence | The best part of this movie is watching Katniss coldly shoot down a helicopter so that it perfectly crashes down on a packed refugee hospital, which explodes as she turns to Natalie Dormer's camera crew and says "LOOK WHAT THE CAPITAL DID TO THIS HOSPITAL." |
